Banana Milk
With just four ingredients and five minutes, you can make your own batch of banana milk at home! And if you haven’t tried banana milk yet, you’re seriously missing out on this super popular drink in South Korea. It’s creamy, naturally sweet, and absolutely delicious on its own or as a dreamy addition to your coffee or matcha. Trust me, once you make it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

MAKING THE BANANA MILK
Making banana milk at home is incredibly easy and so delicious! Start with a couple of ripe bananas; the riper, the better since they’re sweeter and pack more flavor. Peel them and break them into chunks. Grab your blender and toss in those banana chunks along with your choice of milk. Whole milk makes it super creamy, but if you’re going dairy-free, almond, oat, or soy milk works just as well. You could also opt for 2% milk! Add a splash of vanilla extract for that extra depth of flavor, a few tablespoons of sugar to make it a bit sweet, and a pinch of salt to really bring out all the flavors.
Blend everything together on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should only take about a minute, but make sure there are no chunks left. Now, if you want that silky, smooth texture, you’ll need to strain the mixture. Grab a cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve and place it over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture through the cheesecloth, gently squeezing it to get all the liquid out. You’ll be left with all the banana pulp in the cheesecloth. This step is key if you’re looking for that perfectly smooth banana milk without any pulp.
Once you’ve strained it, transfer the banana milk to a jug or container and pop it in the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes. Trust me, it’s best enjoyed cold! Give it a good stir before you pour yourself a glass. It’s naturally sweet, creamy, and so refreshing.

Storing the Banana Milk
After you’ve made your banana milk, store it in a sealed container or a jug with a lid in the refrigerator. It should stay fresh for about 2 to 3 days. Before serving, give it a good shake or stir, as some natural separation may occur. For the best flavor and texture, I recommend enjoying it within the first day or two.
