Salmon so good it will make you say “Marry Me” to whoever makes it for you! The filets are spiced and seared to perfection and paired with a creamy garlic lemon and herb sauce that is just to die for. Dinner in under 30 minutes has never tasted so good!

The Salmon
This recipe consists of two different parts, the salmon and the sauce. For the salmon, it is super simple. We’re going to start by marinating it and then searing it on a hot pan to get it golden and crispy.
HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED FOR THE MARINADE:
- olive oil
- Italian seasoning
- salt
- garlic powder
- oregano
- black pepper
- red pepper flakes
Drizzle 4 salmon filets, skin removed, with olive oil generously. Then sprinkle on evenly across all the seasonings listed above.

Then get a pan nice and hot over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan and add the filets. Sear on one side for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown, then flip over and cook the other side for another 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through.
Then remove the salmon filets and set them aside for now. We will add it back to the pan once the sauce is done!
The Sauce
Now it’s time to make the cream sauce which is so heavenly! It’s packed with fresh garlic, butter, herbs, and lemon so of course it tastes incredible. I think you could put this sauce on anything and it would take from a 10 to a 100.
HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:
- unsalted butter
- garlic
- heavy cream
- chicken broth
- lemon juice
- cream cheese
- parmesan
- salt
- black pepper
- fresh parsley
- fresh basil
Once you remove the salmon from the pan, add the butter and garlic over medium heat. Saute the garlic for a minute until fragrant and then add the heavy cream, chicken broth, lemon juice, cream cheese, parmesan, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and whisk together until smooth and everything is incorporated. Finally, add in the fresh parsley and basil and give it a quick stir. Taste and adjust anything to your liking.
Now just add back the salmon filets into the sauce and pour some on the top as well and it’s ready to serve and enjoy!

- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
CREAM SAUCE
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup grated parmesan, to taste
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
COOK THE SALMON
- To a plate, lay the salmon fillets flat. Drizzle olive oil on top and season with Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat an oiled skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon filets to the pan and cook on each side until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes on each side. Then drop the heat to low and allow the salmon to cook through to the center. Remove the filets from the pan.
MAKE THE CREAM SAUCE
- In the same saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and the garlic. If you’d like to add onions, feel free to do so at this step. Saute for a minute or two.
- Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, and lemon juice. Whisk together and bring to a simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the cream cheese and parmesan and whisk again until the sauce thickens. Once it thickens, add salt and black pepper to taste.
- Mix in the basil and parsley.
- Add the salmon back into the pan with the sauce. Let the salmon sit in the sauce for a minute or two to reheat in the sauce again before taking off the heat and enjoying!
