Mango Mint Mojito Mocktail

This refreshing tropical twist on a mint mojito is the perfect drink to whip up for a dinner party! It always impresses with little effort and the flavor of the mango compliments the citrus and mint so well. The mocktail is truly a mango lover’s dream!

Making the Mango Puree

Although a traditional mint mojito is absolutely delicious, I thought why not do a tropical twist to the recipe and add mango. Something about Ramadan just makes me crave mango and watermelon specifically of all the fruits and I eat it in this month more than all the others so there’s no better time for this recipe!

To make the mango puree, start off with a ripe mango. It can be any type of mango, red or yellow mangos. Slice it open, chop it up, and add it to a food processor to blend until completely smooth. It should have the consistency of a puree. That’s basically it! There is always the option of just buying mango juice from the store and using that in place of the puree but I prefer the fresh flavor of using mango at home instead – it’s up to you and how much time you have.

Assembling the Mocktail

Then it’s time to assemble the mocktail! You’ll need the following ingredients along with the mango puree:

  • fresh mint leaves
  • lime wedges
  • lemon wedges
  • club soda
  • simple syrup
  • ice

To the bottom of the cup you’ll be serving the drink in, add 2 to 3 fresh mint leaves, a small piece of lime, and a small piece of lemon. Use a muddler to mash it all up together to release the juices and aromatics of the mint. Then add in the mango puree, about 1/4 cup. To sweeten it up, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of simple syrup. You can buy it from the store or make it from scratch. Then finish it off with lots of ice and club soda. Mix it all together and it’s ready to go!
