A tuna melt meets a Crunchwrap Supreme, and this flavor-packed mashup is born. Melty sharp cheddar, spicy jalapeños, and crispy nacho chips layered over creamy, tangy tuna salad, all wrapped up in a perfectly toasted tortilla. Every bite delivers the perfect balance of creamy, spicy, and crunchy.
5large flour tortillas, burrito size — cut 1 into 4 smaller circles for sealing
1head romaine lettuce, thinly chopped
18-ounce block sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1bag nacho-flavored tortilla chips
1/4cuppickled jalapeños, tamed or mild
neutral oil, for toasting
Instructions
Make the tuna salad filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, red onions, corn, jalapeño, yellow mustard, chopped parsley, juice of half a lemon, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
Prep the sealing tortillas: Take one large flour tortilla and cut it into four smaller circles using a bowl or lid as a guide. Set aside — these are for sealing the Crunchwraps.
Assemble the Crunchwraps: Lay a large tortilla flat on your work surface. Add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese right in the center.
Spoon some of the tuna salad mixture over the cheese, keeping it in a tight, circular mound.
Arrange whole triangular nacho-flavored tortilla chips over the tuna, overlapping slightly as needed to form a full circle that covers the filling.
Add a layer of chopped romaine lettuce on top of the chips, followed by a few pickled jalapeño slices.
Sprinkle more shredded cheddar cheese over everything.
Place one of the small tortilla circles on top to cover the filling.
Fold the edges of the large tortilla up and over toward the center to form pleats and seal it like a Crunchwrap.
Heat a pan over medium heat and drizzle in a little neutral oil. Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down in the pan and toast for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and sealed.
Flip and cook the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes until the tortilla is crisp and the cheese inside is melted.
Slice and serve while hot — melty, cheesy, spicy, and packed with crunch!
Notes
Q: Can I make the tuna salad in advance? A: Yes! The tuna mix can be made up to 2 days ahead. Just store it in the fridge in an airtight container — the flavors get even better the next day.Q: What kind of tortilla chips should I use? A: Late July nacho cheese chips are perfect for this — super flavorful, crispy, and they hold up so well when toasted inside the wrap. Use the whole triangle chips and arrange them into a circle right over the tuna.Q: Can I toast this in the air fryer? A: Yep! Air fry at 375°F for 5 to 6 minutes, flipping halfway. It gets perfectly golden and crispy — just keep an eye on it so it doesn’t over-toast.Q: How do you like to enjoy it? A: I love it with a drizzle of hot honey right before that first bite — the sweetness balances the spicy so well and takes it to the next level.
