Ingredients

CREAM CHEESE FILLING

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

CINNAMON SUGAR

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

FOR WRAPPERS

  • wonton wrappers
  • water, for sealing wrappers
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 1 cup strawberries, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar

Instructions

  1. To a small bowl, add the strawberries and sugar. Mix together and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Start by making the cheesecake filling. To a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, vanilla extract, and sugar. Beat together until fluffy.
  3. To another bowl, add heavy cream. Use a hand or stand mixer to beat until stiff peaks form to create whipped cream.
  4. Add the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture and combine with a rubber spatula.
  5. Add vegetable oil to a frying pan about 1 inch deep and heat to 350°F over medium heat.
  6. While the oil heats, fill the wonton wrappers. Add a small dollop of the filling to the center of each wonton wrapper.
  7. Add a few pieces of strawberries and a sprinkle of graham crackers.
  8. Brush the edges with water. Fold over two opposite ends to create a triangle shape and press all the edges tightly to seal it up. Repeat with the rest.
  9. Place the filled wontons in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry in batches. Once they are golden, take out the oil and transfer them to a plate with a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  10. Toss in the cinnamon sugar and enjoy warm!
