Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cranberries, washed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. Heat a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the cranberries, brown sugar, white sugar, maple syrup, orange juice, water, just a dash of cinnamon, and orange zest.
  3. Mix together and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. The cranberries will start to pop. Once all the cranberries are softened and popped, you can mash it with a rubber spatula to help break it down.
  4. When the sauce is thickened, take off the heat and transfer to a bowl.
  5. Allow it cool down before serving!
