Manaeesh Taquitos

My new favorite fusion food to make! Manaeesh meets Taquitos.

I always have weird ways of eating food so sometimes I like to roll up manaeesh and eat it like that and so that’s how this idea came up! You can change this recipe up and do zaatar and cheese or just cheese. You can even do sujook or chicken shawarma and cheese. The possibilities are endless.

Highly recommend you serve them with a dipping sauce! We had them with a jalapeño cilantro lime crema and the combination was amazing.

1 pound ground beef 95/5
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons 7 spice
1/4 teaspoon dried mint
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
1 cup Nabulsi cheese, crumbled
1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
12-14 8 inch soft flour tortillas
olive oil for brushing

Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef with parsley, garlic, salt, 7 spice, dried mint, and lemon juice.
Over medium-high heat, add olive oil to a pan. Add in the ground beef mixture and cook until just no longer pink, using a wooden spoon as it cooks to break up any clumps. Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool slightly.
Add the Nabulsi and mozzarella cheese to the ground beef and mix together.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and oil the bottom.
On one edge of a flour tortilla, add filling. Taquitos are traditionally thinner so don't stuff them too much. Roll tightly and place on the baking tray, seam side down. Repeat until all the filling is used.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Sounds great. What do I do with the pomegranate molasses and the tomato sauce?
