Levain Style Cookies n Creme Cookies

Your favorite cookies from NYC but with the ultimate cookies n creme twist! They're massive, fudgy, and everything your dreams are made of.

  • 1 1/4 cup cake flour
  • 1 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter chilled and cubed
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 ounces Oreos about 12 oreos, chopped
  • 3 ounces Hershey’s Cookies n Creme Chocolate chopped
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 415°F.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together cake flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together unsalted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes). Then add the whole eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and beat until incorporated.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined. Do not over mix!
  • Add the Oreos, white chocolate chips, and milk chocolate chips and quickly mix again.
  • Weigh out 5 ounces of dough. Place 4 cookies on a large parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 to 11 minutes until the tops are golden. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
  • Allow to rest for 15 minutes on the baking sheet.
  • Enjoy!

Make sure your butter is chilled very well. If the butter is not very cold, the cookies will spread in the oven into one large cookie. If you do not have a mixer that is strong enough to beat cold butter, chill the cookies in the freezer for an hour after shaping them. Then bake.
If you don't have cake flour available in your area, you can make it at home using all purpose flour and cornstarch. Just take 1 cup of all purpose flour and remove 2 tablespoons of flour from it. In its place, add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Sift or whisk together very well and now you have 1 cup of cake flour. To make 2 cups of cake flour, take 2 cups of all purpose flour, remove 1/4 cup of the all purpose flour, and replace with 1/4 cup cake flour.

    I made these and they were INCREDIBLE! I made a few batches, did some porch drop offs, and the feedback from my friends and family was great – they were super impressed with how soft and chewy they were and they are super tasty! I’ll definitely be making them again.
    When I weighed out the dough, I did a batch of 3oz and a batch of 2oz for some smaller cookies (instead of 5oz as in the recipe). I just adjusted the cooking time for a minute or 2 less depending on the size.
    I HIGHLY suggest giving these a try – you won’t be disappointed!
