Acai Bowl

Sunshine in a bowl! Acai bowls are one of my favorite weekend breakfasts to have. It’s almost like a healthy dessert but filled with antioxidants, fiber, and energy.

I’ve been making my own acai bowls for the longest time so we might have found the perfect ratio of fruit for the best sorbet-like texture. I also like my acai to be more tropical and a little tart. Some places like to put too much sweetener so I prefer to make it at home. If you’ve never added a bit of lime to your acai bowl, it’s a huge game changer!

1 whole frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons acai powder
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup granola of choice
optional toppings: coconut shavings, chia seeds, strawberries, blueberries, banana, honey drizzle, nut butter


Add all the frozen fruit, lime juice, honey, acai powder, and almond milk into a high speed blender. Blend until completely smooth.
Add about 2 tablespoons of granola into the bottom of the serving bowls. Then scoop the acai on top of the granola. Sprinkle more granola on top and place any additional toppings on.
Dive in immediately before it melts!
